I DON'T NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE MOVIE, OTHERS ALREADY HAVE. BUT, NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE TELL YOU IF IT IS WORTH UPGRADING FROM YOUR REGULAR DVD TO BLU-RAY. THIS ONE IS WORTH IT. COLORS ARE STUNNING AND SOUNDS GREAT. great collection If you love movies, i suggest getting "The Mummy Trilogy" on Blu-Ray....Great movies.The transfer to Blu-Ray is fantastic, great collection to my movies....HI-DEF is the way to go...Works great on my PS3. Great Price and Fun for The Mummy Series I have the Mummy (original) in VHS since in the 90's I forgot, but I enjoyed the first and second series of the Mummy but they ruined the 3rd Mummy with having "Maria Bello" as Evy O'Connell. -First of all without the original Rachel Weisz, you know that the Mummy Series has died (if you watched the BEST 2 original prior and fan of that). -Second, Maria did some ok acting (in the first scene where she sits with Brandon was really awkward)its like Rick had divorced Evy and married a "uptight rick snob" Evy but I'm sorry she ruined it for me. -Third, Why does happen in China? I mean the Mummy setting is usually somewhere in North Africa or Middle East (I hoped it was in the third one not the Far East) -Fourth, Brendan Fraser and John Hannah was the best actor and continuing actors in the Mummy Series (I excluded Rachel Weisz just because she didn't sign on for the third one) -Fifth, The Emperor is not a Mummy, he's a Mud Soldier (Terra Cotta) so its not the Mummy unless Imhotep stops by and controls the Emperor's Soldier (haha yeah right) -Sixth, I forgot to mention more actors in the first Mummy, Kevin James O'Connor (Beni) and Omid Djalili (fat Warden) was the most funniest people I ever heard and seen in the Mummy But enough complains about the Mummy 3 Overall: Great Purchase, beats buying separate (well its common sense), other Retail stores, this is needed in your Blu-Ray collection (A MUST HAVE!), and the third one was just absolutely horrible to watch! Great entertainment,"no harm ever came from reading a book" Good clear picture,good quality upgrade,5 stars.... 1st.. of the series THE MUMMY and loosely based on the 1932 movie (I gave 5 stars because it was filmed in the way of old movies and fun entertainment for the family(maybe a little intense for those under 8 years old). A lot of funny quips,Brendan Fraser delivers his perfectly. Evy is never taken seriously as a Egyptologist and when Jonathan shows her a map to Hamunaptra city of the dead,she is determined to go there, and find the solid gold book of Amun-ra. Their map is accidently burned by the curator of the museum where she worked. Jonathan tells her he knows where to find the man named Rick got it from.(Brendan Fraser) Evy,Jonathan(Evys brother)Rick and other adventure seekers travel to the city of the dead (hamunaptra),seeking treasure,while Evy just wants to find the book of Amun-ra.The travelers take differing paths in the city and Evy,Rick and Jonathan find a strange Mummy. The Medjai attacks their camp lead by Ardeth Bay and are warned to leave. When night falls Evy takes the Black Book from the other group while they are sleeping and Rick cautions Evy not to open the book, "No harm ever came from just reading a book"by reading the book the mummy is ressurected and plagues on the world begin... bad things happens to the others present because they opened the cursed chest with sacred jars. 2nd..the MUMMY RETURNS 3.5 to 4 stars for good action some clever rhetoric, Rick and Evy are married in this 2nd movie and They have a son whose middle name should be trouble because his curiosity leads to another resurrection of the Mummy, (Imhotep)and the awakening of the scorpion king(THE ROCK), the chest with the sacred jars are opened again and those present are killed to restore Imhotep(the mummy) to his powers. Evy's visions lead her to believe she is Neferteri daughter of the slain Pharoah Seti. 3rd (the MUMMY:Tomb of the Dragon emperor) still fun but not equal to the first two installments. overall...good entertainment, The first one is my favorite. great trilogy While the first two were somewhat believable, the last one stunk!!! The original actress was not in it, and it did not make the movie believable or entertaining! The way the actors/actresses worked together, was what made it entertaining...not now though!
